The Prince and Princess Napoléon

At 11:00am on Saturday, 19 October, H.I.H. The Prince Napoléon and Countess Olympia von und zu Arco-Zinneberg were married at the Cathedrale Saint-Louis des Invalides in Paris. Jean-Christophe Napoléon Bonaparte (b.1986) and Olympia von und zu Arco-Zinneberg (b.1988) contracted their civil marriage at the city hall of Neuilly-sur-Seine on Thursday, 17 October. On Friday, 18 October, a dinner and ball in celebration of the couple’s union was held in the evening at the Château de Fontainebleau.

On the day of the religious wedding, the bridegroom, Prince Jean-Christophe, arrived on the arm of his mother, H.R.H. Princess Béatrice of Bourbon-Two Sicilies. The bride entered the Cathedral on the arm of her father, Count Riprand von und zu Arco-Zinneberg. Countess Olympia wore a gown designed by Oscar de la Renta; her headpiece was a bandeau diadem that was converted from a necklace worn by her paternal aunt H.I.&R.H. Archduchess Isabella of Austria-Este upon the occasion of her wedding in 1997 to Count Andrea Czarnocki-Lucheschi. Olympia wore the same earrings that her mother, Archduchess Maria Beatrix, donned on the day of her wedding to her father, Count Riprand, in 1980.

Archduchess Maria Beatrix of Austria-Este, Countess von und zu Arco-Zinneberg, into the sanctuary. The bridegroom’s grandmother H.I.H. The Dowager Princess Napoléon (née Alix de Foresta) arrived on the arm of Général Christophe de Saint Chamas, Commandant of the French Foreign Legion.
